Bring your college onto SIS

It takes three steps and usually two people. You can start it now and hand the rest to whoever runs your domain.

  1. You ask

Anyone at the college can request it — a lecturer, a registrar, IT. Nothing is created for you and nobody can sign in yet.

  2. IT proves the domain

A DNS record, or a code emailed to an IT mailbox. This is what brings the college to life, and it names who will run it.

  3. That person sets a password

They get an invitation, choose their own password, and become the first administrator. Then they invite everyone else.

Why the domain check?

It stops anyone registering a college they do not speak for. Having an email address at the domain is not enough — every student and lecturer has one of those.

As it should appear to applicants and staff

Short name, for example bite

The domain you will prove you run, for example bite.ac.uk

How will you prove you run this domain?

An ordinary address at the domain is not proof — a lecturer has one of those.

Where we confirm the request. This does not create an account

Optional — shown to IT so they know who asked

Requesting does not create an account or sign you in.
